The Rotary Club of Koo Wee Rup - Lang Lang was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cranbourne and was formed on 21st November 1973.  The Club was chartered at a Presentation held at "The Windsor", Dandenong on 3rd May 1974.  The District Governor at the time was L. E. C. (Lin) Patison (Rotary Club of Warragul) who asked his special representative Past President Ray Leach (Rotary Club of Cranbourne) to make the presentation.
