What Are We?

We are a group of local (and not so local) residents all with an interest in computers. Our experiences range from very experienced to "how do I turn it on?" Currently there are about 20 members with 12 to 15 regularly attending each meeting. It's not just for the fellas either, there are a number of ladies regularly attending.

Our president is Alan Laughton, who has been involved in computers almost from when they were first used.

Different members have different interests in computers - some like Internet, some like graphics, others like games.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month at the Lang Lang Community Complex, 5 Whitstable St, Lang Lang. (situated behind the Hall).

They run from 7.30 pm to about 10.30 pm.

New members are always most welcome.

Cost is $30-00 per year ($35 if you not a member of the Community Centre) and Students are 1/2 price. New attendees get a "free look" for their first visit and casual fee is $5 per meeting if you don't want the annual subscription.

On meeting nights we cover a wide range of topics - we may have a formal training session on a particular topic, particular software or perhaps a general discussion on anything a member wants. We can install hardware, get you onto the Internet and advise the best software for a particular job.

We also have regular door prizes of new hardware and/or software. Our December meeting is more of a social evening and all members go away with a door prize.

Members computers are often brought in for a fix up or a "fine tune".
